Chatham Cape Cod Wedding at Eastward Ho!
Kristen and Raja married at Eastward HO! in Chatham, Cape Cod on September 12th. The day was bright and sunny, perfect to tie the knot!
Kristen is one of my oldest childhood friends. I was beyond flattered when she asked my team to capture her special day!
The associate photography team at BKB & CO. captured the two-day event beginning with a rehearsal dinner at The Kreme ‘n Kone, a hip-seafood restaurant revered by the locals. From fish and chips to mac and cheese bites, craft beers, you name it. Memorable speeches were delivered by intercom - a fitting tribute to the bride's resonating personality!
As luck and romance would have it, these verifiable globe-trotters first met overseas. The demand of work, continued travel, grad-school, family and commitments, Kristen and Raja coordinated their wedding plans with mother Mary, literally speaking, the mother of the Bride. A consummate event aficionado Mary Fay Roggemann pulled off another spectacular function (more on this below).
So let us summarize: from Palestine to Paris to Boston. Cape Cod for the wedding, and then, Boston to DC! And that took 3 weeks! (I'm jealous of your passport collection.)
Kristen’s family is near and dear to my heart, and I could not be more thrilled that my friend has found her soul mate.
Kristen was stunning in a modern fit and flare with an over sized rose, make up and hair by La Sabrina Hair Design, Raja handsome in a modern-fit suit. Kristen's bridesmaids chose their dresses based on the color of the ocean - brilliant and subtle, considering the ocean panorama that day offered!
Ceremony was hosted outside on the grounds, cocktail hour outside on the patio overlooking the bay, complete with a New England raw bar.
EastWard Ho! a private golf club, showcases only a limited number of weddings each year. It was the picture-perfect backdrop and appropriate to a bride who grew up summering in Chatham.
Evelyn Lui, resident event coordinator at EastWard Ho! guided the activities of the wedding day with her usual prowess and sublimity.
Our bridal stylist Parita was essential to the flow of the day alongside the BKB Team. Table Toppers of Newton provided linens, and Peterson Party
Center provided the decor. Cape Cod Florist, Flowers by Mary, always the tireless creative behind a wedding, provided ultra-lush, fresh floral arrangements!
No stone unturned, Kristen's mother, Mary, a celebrated event planner in Boston, coordinated from top down, and bottom up, every detail, perfectly, as usual: from linen colors, fish-fold napkins to a wired shark - a perfect lend to the Chatham shark sightings we've heard about on the news. Well-done Mary!
In lieu of conventionality, the couple opted for a desert bar, including macro- cookies and cannoli.
Music and vocals by The Sultans of Swing, kept the dance floor movin and groovin all night long! What a dance party!!
Congratulations Kristen & Raja! We wish you a lifetime of happiness and love!!
