A Traditional Colonnade Hotel Wedding in Boston
In mid-July, BKB had the pleasure of photographing Kelsey and Andy’s wedding weekend in Boston’s Back Bay. Brittany captured both the welcome party and wedding day, which were days filled with beauty and joy.
Festivities began with a welcome party at LUC!E Drink and Dine, part of the Colonnade Hotel in Boston. The bride, groom, and their guests listened and laughed through speeches and toasts as the night went on. You can see through the photos of these moments how palpable the kindness, love, and adoration were in the room that night.

The celebrations would come back to the Colonnade Hotel later in the weekend. One of the coolest parts of this wedding was the event locations all being in Boston. These venues, being in the heart of the city, were special for the bride as a graduate of the nearby Boston College in Chestnut Hill (Go Eagles!).
Before capturing the church ceremony in Saint Cecilia’s of Boston, Brittany snapped the sweet moments of the bride and groom getting ready with their close family and friends. Those moments in between can often be what makes an experience like this. Shortly after, Brittany shot some of her favorite photos of the weekend, when Kelsey and Andy soaked in some newlywed moments by popping a bottle of champagne in the city streets.

After the ceremony, the reception moved back to the Colonnade. Brittany talked about how stunning the reception florals were and made sure to snap those details throughout the wedding. Other fun elements of the reception included a station for guests to take glowsticks for the dance floor and flip-flops to change into when people were eventually tired or sore. These images capture the sweet personal touches that were a part of the big day.

Guests danced the night away during the reception, glowsticks in hand, celebrating the newly married couple. July 10th and 11th, 2025, will not be forgotten anytime soon, and BKB was honored to have been chosen to photograph these memories that will last a lifetime. Cheers to Kelsey and Andy!
