A Beautiful Seaport Hotel Engagement Shoot

Towards the end of the fall, Brittany did an engagement photoshoot with the lovely Sarah and Michael outside of the Seaport Hotel in Boston. Even in the late fall, the location was stunning for the shoot, and Sarah and Michael were a dream to work with. The pair is getting married at the hotel as well, making it the perfect spot to capture these photos. BKB not only had the privilege of doing this shoot, but also learning a bit more about Sarah and Michael’s story.

The images turned out stunning, with fall foliage around to provide the perfect natural background. Brittany made sure to take photos focusing on Sarah’s ring, which is from Toodie’s Fine Jewelry in Quincy, MA. Sarah mentioned that she tried on rings and then decided to have Michael surprise her after choosing her three favorites. Crazily enough, her engagement ring is the exact one that she tried on in the store: a round cut with a hidden halo. It ended up being the perfect fit, seeming like fate.

The proposal itself happened at the Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, during a European trip that the couple took in the spring. They had a private tour of the palace, and then, after a walk around the gardens, Michael brought Sarah up to the Gloriette and got down on one knee. This is such a beautiful and touching story for a wonderful couple. The pair posed outside the hotel and in front of greenery for some more sweet photos, walking hand in hand and seated together.

When it comes to their wedding at the Seaport Hotel, the pair plans to have what Sarah called “a classic and elegant summer wedding” filled with stunning whites, creams, and focused on coral pink as the accent color. The hotel is great to incorporate these details, as the couple loved the large windows and the light that comes through in the ballroom. Sarah said that in addition to the beauty of the venue, the staff was wonderful and experienced, making them feel that their wedding would be in great hands. The pair will hold their ceremony at St. Mary’s in Brookline, which has been Sarah’s home parish since she moved to Massachusetts, making it a lovely and sentimental place to tie the knot and honor their Catholic faith.

BKB will also have the honor of doing the photography and videography for their summer wedding, and cannot wait to be a part of the special day. Congratulations to Sarah and Michael on their engagement!
